Is GMAT mandatory for ISB and IIM one year MBA programs?

GMAT is not mandatory for all one year MBA programs, but it is strongly recommended. ISB accepts both GMAT and GRE scores. Most IIM one year MBA programs such as IIMA PGPX, IIMB EPGP accept GMAT or GRE. A valid standardized test score is required at the time of application. While a high GMAT can strengthen your profile, schools evaluate it along with work experience, leadership exposure, academic consistency, and interview performance.

Can I apply to ISB and IIM one year MBA programs with GRE instead of GMAT?

Yes. ISB and most IIM one year MBA programs accept GRE scores. GRE is treated at par with GMAT during evaluation. However, there is no officially published GRE cutoff. Schools internally convert GRE scores to GMAT equivalent percentiles. Candidates with strong quantitative balance and consistent overall performance do well with GRE. Choosing between GMAT and GRE should depend on your comfort with the test format, not perceived preference.

What is a safe GMAT score for ISB, IIMA PGPX, IIMB EPGP and IIMC EPGP?

Does MBA colleges prefer GMAT over GRE?

Colleges does not officially prefer GMAT over GRE. Both scores are evaluated using percentile benchmarks. Can engineers from tier 2 or tier 3 colleges get into ISB or IIMs?
